I'm sure AZ has a similar initiative in place. We have friends trying to buy a place in Tucson and anything that hits the market gets snapped up in minutes, sight unseen, by those fleeing CA with big CA housing budgets. It's really driving prices up, which screws my retirement plan of wintering in Scottsdale. By the time I can afford to do it, I won't be able to afford to do it.
