Greg....seems typical the govmint would do something like this when the distillers had nothing but good on their mind. What a shame.

Afternoon Wooders
Looks like an extended trip into the attic today. We we re-roofed last spring, we eliminated the original (degrading) brick chimney to below-roof. Both fireplaces have been converted to gas, so we have only the upgraded fireplace metal "exhausts" now in place.
The carpenters however, did not insulated the area (cavity) between the lowered top of the original chimney (now below roof), and the underside of the roof. Ice dams have been forming there and I knew what was going on right away. Warm air from the old chimney cavity is escaping into the cold air space below the roof. An area 12 foot square of bare roof on an otherwise snow-covered roof was the first clue. LOL
I better get to work. Off to Home Cheapo !

Zero. It melted as soon as it hit the ground here. Further out west is a different story as they had 5-6” out by Abilene.
