TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XIII
Hey, Mick....work done for the day. Just waiting for the snow. These guys are all over the place with the forecast. I will go on record with my own forecast: Between 8"-24" with sleet and possibly rain mixed in between........I bet I'm right!
Sounds as if you are a meteorologist. Cold here but no snow. Extremely windy. Wind chill about 8 degrees...or as we refer to it, September in Canada.
I am qualified to be one....I'm right ... 30 -50% of the time. What a job, you can be right half the time and be a hero....wait, I worked for guys like that.

Couple fresh inches out there this morning. You may remember I fell on the ice a while back; got some ice cleats from Amazon yesterday and tried them out today. You don't slip with these, I got on a smooth patch of thick ice and could drag my foot lightly across the ice, but as soon as I put weight on it, the cleats stuck tight right there. Lot of brands at Amazon. I'm not the only one here that isn't in shape to handle falls any more, still got a good bruise from that last one. These were $10, kind of a proof of concept for me; if they wear out or break, I'll get more expensive ones next time, but these worked great, will stay with them as long as they last. No more skating down the driveway and road to the mailbox.
