Al, it sounds like you did well on the warranty. I think I paid $1400 to add 3 years on top of my 2 year factory warranty. I did it because one spun crank or a bad primary would easily eat that up. None of that happened fortunately. But I did get a few minor items, including a clutch replacement done. I basically broke even. My deductible was $50. I had the "official" Harley Davidson warranty that was honored everywhere.
I had a policy with JimPalmer (Discount ESP?) on my Ultra. It was through Cornerstone. A few smaller claims were handled immediately. Broke even on what I paid, but I look at these service agreements as being " catastrophic insurance". Haven't decided even if I'll get one.
