Yes, they have to deal with it every year. And they still have no clue. Weather guessers were pretty sure for the last 3 days this storm was gonna happen.
I hope we never have another one of those to deal with.

You guys haven't been out here during winter, have you? Today is a total **** show on the streets. I-25 closed between Denver and the Springs. Snowing to beat the band, no, preparation, streets were a mess at 5:30 when I came in and have gotten worse. CDOT has absolutely no clue.
I recall one time driving to Denver from Sante Fe during a straight up blizzard in 87. I-25 was absolutely snow covered. It probably should have been closed. Or at least plowed! Thankfully my Acura was damn good in snow.
But I know things have changed dramatically in Denver, and not all for the better. You have a huge influx of people from other areas and they probably brought their lack of skill with them.
Actually I have spent many Winters in your area Greg. But it's been about 20 years..........man......seems like yesterday. Anyway, I was always impressed by how well people were prepared for snow in Denver and the mountains. All wheel drive, sand put down early.......just worked well.
