Tried that. Both a strap type and a clamp type. Strap wouldn't tighten enough for a good grip, clamp type bit, put dents on filter but couldn't turn. Stuck like chuck.
Another method with the strap wrench is to tighten the beejeeezus out of a hose clamp installed on your filter to give your strap wrench (flex strap) a stopping point. Effectively, you’ve installed a lever on your filter. Stay tuned for more white-splaining.
I think most of us on the TOAK are feeling a bit disappointed, or if not disappointed, a bit apprehensive about what is to come, but remember, most politicians' promises are never fulfilled, either because they never intended to once they got those votes they'd say anything for, or congress or the Supreme Court don't let them (as in Trump trashing Obamacare and building a wall across the whole Mexican border). So cheer up, most of what the new old guy said will likely never happen. I'd even go so far as to say when the nation thaws out (except up here), and a lot of free money and a surge in minority hiring hasn't happened, health care isn't free yet, and students still are making loan payments, Old Joe may be facing a wave of protests and even rioting. Gosh, that wood just break my heart. And then Kamel's buddies will start murmuring, impeachment, she'll give us what we want...
