Evening all, just got home from a 12 hour drive. We spent a couple of days in Maggie Valley and a couple of days in Danville VA, my home town. Was going to be up there until Saturday but decided to pull the plug and come home. My Springer has the sidecar installed and is ready to pick up. I am anxious to get it in the morning and start the learning curve. Wish me luck.
Really take those first few right turns easy, like you're on snow or sand till you get the feel for it. Might look and feel silly, but it helps to really lean your body on right turns. You can turn sitting up straight, but that's a good way to lift the sidecar in a turn, even on fairly gentle curves and speed makes those even worse. Not all rigs handle the same, my Honda scooter rig isn't tippy at all, I can lift the Ural's car going straight just by wiggling it a little. The big Harley is pretty stable, too, but it has by far the heaviest car (stock Harley).
Lurker coming through..... nobody is up!!?? No Posers either.....what am I?? contagious lurker?! Well I'm out the other door...gotta go to work. Y'all be careful out there..... don't be needin' any bad messages!!!
