Well, once upon a time in a far, far away thread there was this guy named Booch. His original complaint was people paid too much attention to the number of posts someone had when considering whether or not they knew their ****. His suggestion was to....tada….BAN POST COUNTS. Alas, being the total smart *** wiseacres we are we began to post pictures of fence posts, mail posts, outposts...you the idea. You can find the original thread, named exactly as above.
After many hundreds, possibly thousands of posts it degenerated into quite the thread and the final post...a one worder….was by Lou....all it said was Peckerwoods. The rest, as they say, is history. Quite a few have passed through this hallowed hall but there are some that have been here since post 1.

I will add the TOAK designation, for Thread of All Knowledge, is because we deemed this thread will at some point contain all the knowledge in the known universe. Izzo has really been good to us, there were a few touch and go periods where the whole damned thing was gonna blow and he saved our ***.

Lou started a thread asking if anyone wanted to join the Peckerwoods IMC. Eventually one of the mods, I believe it was Phil, joined the BAN POST COUNTS and Peckerwood thread that became the first TOAK.

I know we would never like to think we are the 'cool kids' or do anything to draw attention to ourselves, Jose, but at one point it became obvious the jealousy factor was running rampant at HDF....funny part is we welcome all....well, we don't like horse blankets and vomit but other than that we're a good group. As evidenced by post #9
