That's why I'm not sour about not getting my favourite one. What I wanted was in the $2600 range. The crappy part will be pulling the doors off to get it into the kitchen. 1940's house and all. Reviews of the ice maker suck! The ice motor is not well insulated and freezes up. I never wanted door ice or whatever but 90% of them have it.

I wasn't crazy about having the freezer on the bottom but I'm happy with it.

I might have told this story before ... after I got out the Army I bought a house and was stone a$$ broke .. used a cooler for a couple of weeks until I could get a fridge ... got a new one ( scratch and dent ) and brought it home ... several hours after plugging it in I checked to see if the ice cube maker was working ... DUH ... ya gotta have water for ice ... I have matured considerably since then :<(

I managed to rig the water dispenser on my fridge when it first broke. I got it working again by rigging it using 2 paper clips and some creativity.

Yeah, no sh*t!... Spent more time running around for stuff and waiting for bondo , glazing putty and two coats of paint on each side to dry than I did actually working. All this because of 4 1/8" holes... here's something funny. Youngest son calls to see what I was doing, so I start ranting about it. He laughs and says " I went through the same thing last year, I just left the holes there. But, you can't do that can you?"
