Nice looking car Rokit.
(From Wiki)
"Commissioned in August 1943, Intrepid participated in several campaigns in the Pacific Theater of Operations, most notably the Battle of Leyte Gulf."
When the Attack on Pearl Harbor ocurred the U.S. had 3 carriers. Three yrs later, there were something like 40 carriers at Leyte Gulf. So I understand.
Bakng soda. 1/2 tsp to a cup of water. The **** saved my life.

Available at your local Winn Dixy.

Kinda miss trippin' on some good acid..
My Dad was on the USS Intrepid during WWII. A guncrew member in one of the twin 5" turrets that were on either side of the island. Credited with shooting down 10 E/A. He didn't talk about it too much. He mentioned the mess after being hit by kamikazes, seeing a couple of his buddies blown to pieces. He said he could tell how close the E/A were by which guns were firing. Start off with the 5" and as they got closer, the 40MM would start, then the 20MM. He said when the .50s opened up everyone in the turret would brace themselves for the impact.
He used to watch the "Victory at Sea" shows just to listen to the music by Rogers & Hammerstein. The hair on his arms would stand on end during some of the scenes. This was in the '70s.

Marcus...guy with a no future job decides to better himself. He goes to a local college to see what classes are offered. He sees a posting for a class in 'Deductive Reasoning'. He ponders the title and as luck would have it a professor is walking by. Guy says, "Hey, do you know about this class?" Prof says you're in luck, I teach that class. Guys says, what is deductive reasoning? Prof says, "Here, let me show you." He asks....Do you own a lawnmower? Guy says yes, Prof says "From that I deduce you are a homeowner." Guy says...wow, you're right, I have a 3 bedroom. From that, Prof says, I deduce you are married with children. That is deductive reasoning. Guy says, wow, that's impressive.
Guy goes to work the next day. Co-worker asks if he found a college class. Guy says, yes, Deductive Reasoning. What is that, co-worker asks. Lemme show ya says the guy. He asks....Do you own a lawnmower? Co-worker says No. Guy says....You're gay.
