That's about my price range. Don't own a revolver. Just looking for a decent one. Don't know much about what model is good or a pos. Going to be getting the wife a .22 pistol for Christmas. Not a revolver though. Not looking for something rare or collectable. It's just a gun.
If you just want a gun that's easy to take care of and has knock down power, my choice is a stainless .357. I have a double action stainless Ruger, and with a .357, you can use .38 ammo and save some money when you just want to do some plinking. 38 doesn't sting your palm like some 357's do, especially good if you let a lady use it. For punching through walls, doors and cars, just load up with the magnums. I've about people bear hunting with .357, although I'd consider that more like a last act of desperation.
Thanks Moldy. Before I got my XD9 I was going to get a 357 revolver. Finding one in a gun store under $500 was hard and the XD was bearly $400. I like it but want a revolver.
And me too .....'cause I have to go to bed. Was over at the parent's house doing some house type tasks for them. Then they gave me this extra turkey they had in the freezer LOL
