Update on my boy Billy...
He's been staying here with me in my guest house....my Son left it in pretty bad shape, but Billy has that place **** and span...kinda funny about someone who has been an inmate. All men have a set of rules they go by. Some call it a code of honor, but to me that's too fancy and romanticized. It's simply a code of rules we live by. Every mans code of rules differ. Billy hates...no, despises a thief. Most folks lump all together, and wouldn't think an ex Prison Inmate would despise thievery. He wasn't in for any stealing bullshit. He was in for drugs and violence. He had a violent incident at one of our biker bars. Other guy was running his mouth and got what he asked for. Can't do that **** when you're on probation and using drugs....
He's been clean over 2 yrs know. I honestly think he's gonna make it. He has no desire for his old life. Drugs lead to his violence. We've had our run ins because I simply won't tolerate that **** around friends or family. It leads to destruction.
He's clean, hell, he hasn't even had a drink since his parole. He's the calm cool cat I remember when we were young. His Parole Officer is coming to my house tomorrow for a meeting, and probably a **** test and he's looking forward to her visit. I'm damn proud of him....

He's the worst of the lot! It starts with a bowl of menudo and the next thing you know, you're day drinking at the sleeze strip club with the pregnant day shift dancers.....
