Russ, had a good friend from Dumas and every time I saw him I thought of that song. Guy is a great guy....played linebacker at OU, married a lady who wanted to be a professional comedienne and just great people.

I don't know if you've been there lately but the town pretty much stretches along the highway as so many others in that part of the state. Trying to get those motorists to slow down and stop.

I haven't, Russ. Last time I was in Lubbock I laughed my *** off....the liquor stores at the city limits look like the Vegas strip....lit up like Foster Brooks' nose.

Here ya go, Russ....my second cousin talkin' about Buddy Holly. Tinker is the ram rod behind the Lubbock Buddy Holly Festival every year. He will be 82 this year so don't know how much more gas is in the tank....EDIT:wrong video..lemme find it.
