Sabbath rules... the genesis of Heavy Metal and there's a lot more to their music than most people understand. They're a really great blues band with distortion

I've never really cared what they sing about, and most black metal bands have shitty vocalist. Although, you learn to discern which ones are tolerable and which ones aren't. I've always loved high energy music. That being said, I also love Pink Floyd, The Doors, Etc.... basically anything with good guitar and some thought into the lyrics

You are probably more in tune with the intricities (is that a word?) lol of the different bands. Maybe. I just know what I like..
But I love ya man.
You younger guys wanted to out-do the best **** ever & we old dudes understand that.

On a technical note.... the 80s/90s produced some of the best guitarist I've ever seen. With a few exceptions though, they just don't have any heart in their music. There's no more experimenting, the music industry tells people what to like now. One of the reasons I like extreme metal... the fans are loyal and the bands play what they want, not what they're told to.

Sucks I never got to see Sabbath live. I was in the Army when Ozzy rejoined em and for most of their time back together. They announced their final tour, and came nowhere near me. I've seen Ozzy, but seeing Sabbath would have rocked.
