Love the old warbirds. See a lot of them here during EAA Convention. I live a block from the airport.

Re-Mornin Woods! Went to church for a charity werk project. We were preparing prepackaged meals for an orphanage in Haiti. Now home for a bit before running errands

Hi Izzo. This F86 was the last model, made after the Korean War. Sat in a farmer's front yard a couple miles from me for years, until houses got built over it. He donated it to the city, and they made a war memorial park with the plane as the centerpiece. Don't know the story behind the plane sitting in his yard, must be interesting. He kept it looking just like it does today, wasn't just rotting there. Granddaughter was thrilled to see it, I didn't expect her to pay much attention to it, but she seemed fascinated. City did a good job, all the benches and big rocks have plaques about someone on them.

The park also has several ball fields and a big playground, gets a lot of use in the summer. There's a lake about a mile down the road with swimming beaches, another playground and ball fields, and a seaplane dock.
