Blizzard today (April 14 !) so I got the train footlocker out for the first time in 15 years.
Lionel. Something my dad picked up cheap on a sale some years ago. The literature in the box was dated 1963. Still works but I have to replace the front "gang" wheels on the engine. Kept my mind off not riding.
Looks like what I remember of the one I had as a kid. Mine would have been an early 50's model. Don't know what happened to it, Dad liked to get rid of anything that wasn't being used. None of my kid stuff was left when I got home from college. I had the first issue of "Spiderman", too. That I'd like to have today. Well, not have, but sell.

That's so they don't get embedded in ice, and makes it easier to clear the snow off that area. Sometimes the snow melts down a bit, then freezes and they're buried in ice you can't just chip off. I should've put the van in the garage, but just felt too lazy to move a couple things out of the way.
Today's 10 day forecast looks like continuing road salt. Sucks, really sucks.
