Depending on who does the slapping, I could live with that. Might even ask to be first...

Mom had a stroke, left side went dead, with forced therapy started walking (barely, admittedly, still needed help for the toilet) and could grip with her left hand. Medicaid said ok, she's good to go home now. Wouldn't lift a finger at home. Brother and wife moved in with her, and she wouldn't make any effort to do anything, seemed to like having everything done for her. I was still working half the country away, would fly in a few times a year and give them a few night's decent sleep, but eventually they just physically couldn't take it anymore and put her in a nursing home. Mom didn't like that much, but by then she was too far gone to get back on her feet, died in that home. I hope being cared for that way is frustrating for you, you really need to work through this and anything that motivates you is good, even if it hurts. Seeing Mom just give up was heartbreaking. I want to see a photo of you riding again!
