Thanks, I had my choice of 5 makes .....I ended up talking to a supply house I deliver too....he said the ''slant fin'' brand was/is top of the line.......I noticed one thing right off the bat, no more drafts or cold spots......house is as it should be....and quiet.....best 4 grand I ever spent so far.

Boilers don't seem to last around here for some odd reason. 10 years I think is the norm

Are they gas or oil units? No one has them around here.

Ours? Gas. I don't even think you can buy an oil unit anymore around here. Wood, NG or LPG

25 year warrantee....you might be thinking water heater...they have a shorter life span

based in long island new york........they manufacture both......a furnace heats air, a boiler heats water......both use either fuel

we have a gas fired boiler.

I'm expecting a cheaper fuel bill for years to come.....

Uncle had a boiler. 10 years, had to replace.
Yes water heaters, after 10 years and you're playing with fire.

I bet. 30 year efficiency compared to todays is night and day. But 30 years ago, you only needed a bobby pin to repair it Hahaha
