Divorce... I never figured the details, but a quick tally of monthly support and pension loss, not including the house re-fi to cover her share of it and a big visa bill I got stuck with, is just a little shy of 100 grand every 4 years. The house would put it a fair amount over 100. Also gave up half my 401 at the time. Was it worth it? Hell yea.
