Not sure why they tried to over-complicate these gears. I think it's obvious that the gears are made from cheap *** metal. I referred these guys to Greg's shop since they are in the Denver area. He said they have their own full CNC, water jet etc etc.

There are still good gear makers in this country, rare yea, pricey yes, but in the end we know longevity beats out repeated repair costs.

Russ does the wind put any kind of side load on those gears while opening the pod?
