Yup. It's in the manual. I was somewhat surprised to see it. But there isn't a lot of room to get a bearing separator in there. I suppose one could remove the stem from the bottom tree and press it off that way.

Yep ... me too. Done it on a couple of Sportsters and my 79 FXEF ... No so bad.

About 50,000 miles. Judging from the clunking I was getting recently, I suppose I had let it go too long between adjustments and it got loose. Or I didn't adjust them properly the last time I attempted it.
