I rode one with the long front end and shift handle below the seat once, but had drag bars, not apes. It was a handful, was interesting, but I wouldn't call it fun. He might not kill himself on that one, but he'd feel some pain, probably sooner than later. If he was lucky, would be before he got out of first gear, wouldn't grind on the road so far.

Hahaha... I never rode one like but always wanted to. Looks like fun to me. They do look like a handul. Around town to the local bar I bet they suck but highway easy. We have lots of hills around here, so starting back from a stop at a light or stop sign will royally suck! Real eye-opener for sure! A regular clutch sucks up hill when you just learning, then add a jockey shift?!d haha

Hope so greg. If I didn't get the e-mail cc ed to me to the guy I wood think it's all BS.

I hope he changes his mind. Or get straight 100%, then get one. I don't trust him in a car, let alone a bike!
