Re-mornin', Woods....just finished givng my dog his meds and wound treatment. he developed a "hot spot' on his leg while I was away. A spot maybe 1 1/2" in diameter. Treated him with antibiotic ointment but it went bad yesterday morning. About 4+ " long and right down to raw skin , red ,inflamed and oozing. Couldn't get an appointment with regular vet for a week, so Took him to Emergency Animal Hospital. First class place with 3 vets on duty and price reflects it. Beautiful tall ,long dark curly hair young female vet comes in to room to tell me what's going on. Blood test, this test,that test blah blah...Assistant comes in with estimate to sign off on $400! Final bill with meds was $700.98 !

. he has to wear a cone collar to keep him from chewing on it and he's not happy about it....Jeez

Pets aint cheap....I managed to swindle Mary into buying the expensive brand dog food..........I look at it this way, If we say we love our pets, show it ..if it takes an empty wallet so be it.
