Finally back home. After church today we went to go watch The Sandlot on the big screen. It is the 25th anniversary year for that movie so they did a limited release on the big screen and one of the places was here in Longmont. We all loved it. I forgot how awesome that movie was as a theater experience. Stop for some ice cream after that and now back home just relaxing.

I think mine was $75 or 79, just wrote a check at the store and carried it home. Better days...
Grandson got a Savage Axis 6.5 for his 9th birthday (stays in Dad's gun safe, and not technically his, of course, only supervised access). He can only fire a few shots before it hurts, but at least he can handle it. I'd guess your boy would be able to put several rounds through it easily enough.

He's gone along with his Dad on several hunts since he was 4, next time might get to take his first shot.

One of my all time favorite movies. Reminded me so much of growing up in the 50s and 60s and getting a bunch of kids together to play ball.

Softy, congrats on the 10/22. I have about a half dozen of the damned things in various configurations. My favorite is a take-down. I'm waiting for the silencer I ordered in April.

From this morning's ride. Two months ago the snow had barely melted here.

I grabbed the take down model. It felt floppy. Not a firm lock like I was expecting. Passed. Maybe they are all like that.

Looking forward to some range time with the kid once I get the rifle in my possession.
