Must be Monday, my granddaughter got dropped off here. Good day to have her, I'm not going to be riding, wrenching, yard werking, or picking anything up off the floor. Back did not get better with a good night's sleep. I'm getting decrepit, didn't lift anything that weighed much over 100 lbs lately. I think my 200 lb days are over for good, but ain't gonna try to find out.

Getting rear ended is on my mind every time I stop in traffic. Been rear ended lightly in 3 cars when stopped, and hit hard once when moving. Was a passenger in the moving one, saw it coming and could have avoided it, but my mother was driving and all most women do is hit the brakes. Doesn't help a thing when a semi jackknifes and slides into you from behind. I jumped a red light once on a bike, or I would been rear ended then. That's one bad thing about a sidecar rig, you have little to no chance of squeezing out of the impact zone when stopped in traffic, another reason I try staying out of traffic with my grandson. Drivers haven't really changed all that much, they've always been a danger to riders, it's just that there are so many more of them now.

Good morning Wooders and Woodettes!

I just might have a new favorite breakfast. Got the idea from an old friend. Make some cornbread with jalapeno and whole kernel corn. Slice it and then split it in half and open it up. Lay it on the plate and cover it with a couple eggs and some bacon on the side. Damn it's good. Sweet, savory, a little heat!!
