Been there, done that on an old Chevy pickup ... Laid the dirt bike down in the bed and used the tie down straps to hold the gas tank up ... Tie down straps go me home

Well, we’ve landed at a hotel, not the right hotel but we won’t talk about that !. The truck is running fine, meaning the fuel tank didn’t fall out on the highway. I’ve never been soooo ready for a drink than NOW!
