l did rebuild them , the kits were $ 85.00 a piece.

Al, I’m a little worried about that ! I took the boat to the launch so I could put both out drives in the water. I ran both engines @ 1500-2000 rpms and read the voltage at each battery. Neither charging system was working, confirming what my tester was telling me. I pull both alternators off and take them in and have them bench tested. The one that was tripping the stereo amplifier had a faulty regulator. The other tested good ????? . I don’t get that part. The new units are stronger, more durable and NEW.
