TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XI
Afternoon, Woods...back from g'daughter's ballet recital. Was very entertaining and only took an hour. This place breaks into two shows. One for the little kids, about 7 groups with 10-15 kids in a group and a second show with older kids, so you don't have to stay around for hours. Then out for food and back home.
Afternoon all. Finished cutting my and my mom's !#/^! $% grass. Cleaned up, parked my *** on the deck chair, just in time to see some very dark clouds coming over the house. Guess no grilling tonight dinner...
It seems I don't grill unless it's raining or snowing.
How much do you do? My yard is about 10k square feet and my mom's is about half that. All push mower too. Mine takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours if it's really high. Mom, if high, takes and hour. I bag though too. When it's not high, I can blow it and I can get them done in an hour.
Greg, with up on top of a mountain, when it rains, we get some pretty hard winds blowing up the valley to the point that keeping the grill lit is really hard. You have to keep it up high and then hard to control food doness. Grill is on the far side of the grill and it has solid sides. The solid sides help a little. Without that it will go out.
