Definitely where you want to be. I'm in a similar boat, although regardless retirement is at least 10 out. But I'm payed pretty well for doing about 15 hours of work a week according to Cheryl.

 

I'm independently poor, mostly cause of the ex expense. If she died tomorrow, I'd get a bigger pickup, mebbe diesel, and a 4 bike toyhauler with air, heat, electric and big air compressor, and I'd be able to afford it. Gave her more than a rig like that would cost in less than 10 years. Could pay cash for it now, but wouldn't like my cash balance afterwards.

Wondered a while back if I could do a dark green scales paint job with eyes and a forked tongue on the front fender, with a faint gold (now I can't think of the name, super fine metal flake), call it the snake. Decided since I've never done fancier than different color base highlights, that'd be way beyond my talent.

Have one of those on the newer Ural, worries me, would leak right on a header pipe. Ever take the tank off, that won't go back on.

 

Late morning all. Sitting on Med Express. Have a real bad ear and head pain for the past 5 days.

 

 

Pilots actually have to be careful not to go too fast on the big jets, even a DC9 could hit the sound barrier in level flight. Full throttle would shed the wings on a lot of jets before hitting a theoretical max. 707s hit the sound barrier a few times, and only read about one that didn't come apart.
