They are.
One of the golf courses I play is at the end of a GAA airport and one took off making a climbing turn. I just about creamed my jeans.

I remember back around 1950 seeing (and feeling!) V's of piston engine fighters and bombers flying over Chicago. Aren't enough left to do formations like that. At the time I was too young to know what kind of planes they were, just remember being impressed by the sound. Liked to hear them ever since. The one I'd really like to hear passing over is a B36. Saw several at airbases in the 50's, but don't think I ever saw one in the air. Some guys at an airfield near here have some T6's, fly around with 3 or 4 in formation occasionally. Sound nice, but don't look as good as the fighters.

I got involved with an electrical project in Mexico once. You start out by ripping out all the mess, even the building wiring, and start over from scratch. A bit of romex, twisted to some extension cord, twisted to some #12, twisted to some #22, and occasionally somebody covers the twisted wire with some kind of tape. Grounds... I wonder if they know what that is. You know how we pull circuit breakers before getting into wiring? What circuit breakers...

I've done some car stereo installations where I had to fix wiring similar to that Moldy

You'll remain a prospect until you stick it into the cigarette lighter in your car

We live near a small airport that has a lot big wigs with fancy toys. Cool jets always flying around, a bunch of Cubs, at least one Long EZ, and the occasional warbird. The Mustang has been around for a week or two. The visual is impressive, but the sound! We can hear that Merlin coming in well before we see it. Truly amazing aircraft. Kinda like seeing a 57 Testa Rossa roar by. The EAA Fly In isn't far from me either. I've seen plenty of Mustangs up close as well as in action.
