It's 80° cloudy with a 60% chance of rain down here.
Still delivered Mom's card, flowers, and gift on the street glide. Made breakfast, working on lunch, and making dinner for the parental units today.

Had an opportunity to fly a King Air a while back. No, I'm not a pilot. It was friend's and he let me goof around with it flying to pick up a sailboat on the other side of Lake Michigan. Wasn't too long after that that I heard on the news he crashed it into the Bay of Alaska. The rumor was both engines failed......which seems strange.

The would be an unusual occurrence to lose both engines.

That's what I thought too. But they had just taken off from Anchorage so good on fuel. Radio records said he reported one engine out and trying for an island in the Gulf - had visual. Then he reported the 2nd engine out and ditching short of the island. I was wrong about the King Air - I keep thinking that's what he had. It was a Golden Eagle. It was quite the hulabaloo as you can imagine. Lost contact with his family. Last I heard they were looking into recovering the plane, but it was in deep water. This was probably 20 years ago the more I think about it. Boy...time sure flies. No pun intended.

A Cessna 421, if he lost both engines it could be fuel or ignition related.

Quietly. Bosslady is out planting flowers. I'm hoping my help isn't requested.
Got the snowblower put away.

I've got the grill going slow and low. Smoking a Boston Butt.
Nothing like the smell of charcoal and wood...
