I watched your snowmobile video on FB, what is that thing you're carrying on your back? A shovel?

Yup, thats a shovel. I have a second one on the sled.

Hahaha. Tools required in case there is an avalanche. In the pack, I carry a shovel, 2M probe, a small camp stove, extra food, extra socks, extra gloves, survival pack with odds and ends. Used the duct tape and bailing wire to attach handlebars to the sled. LOL

I plan on a few more such trips this year! Our company guidelines for travel are much different than when I started. At a certain point the mileage they paid exceeded airfare costs, so they discouraged it. Now I get a monthly payout plus half the Federal mileage rate, which means they encourage me to drive, which I greatly prefer to flying. Most of my territory can be reached in 6 hours or less by car, so it works. And my farthest account, Sturgis, is worth the ride. I'm already planning for my next business trip there in late June.
