Oddly enough the same thing happened to me.
I found him behind my house. The golf course I lived on killed the mother. I Thought he was a regular kitten at first but it doesn't take long to realize it's not.
Those people must have found kittens that where a few months old. They have a general demeanor that's similar to a domestic cat that's been raised with humans.

Those cats are pretty big.
I had a vet tell me what to do. Built an outdoor enclosure for Major Tom to hang out during the day, fed him raw meat or the occasional live rabbit. The rest of the time he'd lay on the couch and mean mug Stacy.

No clue about taste. That particular Tom took to killing fawns on my creek. I found a half eaten fawn stuffed under a log, so I hung a tree stand and sure enough, he came back. I killed him with a bow, so his chances and mine were about the same I guess. He was just doing his thing, and so did I. He came out on the losing end..

Wow man!
They're notoriously sneaky.
You must have nerves of steel to be able to sit that still.
By the time you see one chances are 5 have seen you.
Great kill!
