TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part XI
Hello Gentlemen.... I trust everyone is doing OK. I haven't been online for awhile and thought it would be a good idea to check in. All is well here in Bosnia. The winter has been spent working on my garage...making a tool board, organizing and had a bike dolly made so that I will be able to manage the bike easily in the small space I have. Other that that I joined a local gym to get in shape for the riding season as it seems that with each passing year the bikes gets a little heavier. Spring has arrived none too soon.
It seems no one is around currently I will chalk it up to the time zone thing and try again later. I was also wondering if any of you know if the after market voltage regulator and stator is a better choice over the OEM. After my first spring ride I noticed the battery running down. After having it checked was informed that I need a new stator and regulator....any suggestions or reccommendations?

Have you guys ever had a hard time starting your bike after a wash?
It sounds stupid to me but it only happens after I wash it. The bike goes dead like it has no power but the battery is new and according to my charger it was at about 80% charge. It's happened before and I've removed the seat then dried it with the blowe and the bike starts. I don't even use a pressure nozzle on the water hose when I wash it and it's never died out in the rain.

Hello Guys....I have been checking after market options and have looked at the Cycle electronic products. The big question is do I really need to go that route as having it shipped here could be a PIA. I have a friend working at the HD dealler in Split who will order the HD part and I can have it replaced there. The 3 phase CE part seems to offer an increased charge amperage, but do I really need it. I recently changed to a LED headlight and only have heated gear as an added accessory which I only use occassionally...so my battery draw is not excessive,
