My heel/toe shifter levers used to rattle too but I had my bil machine me the tool to remove and replace the bushings .

Hmmmm, not sure why your bushings would be worn out. Are the bushings in the outer primary?

The dealer tried to tell me there were NO bushings, until I gave them the part # !

Me either! But when I touched them , while the bike was idling, bingo, silence !
