I'd never be able to get it apart then Tim. It would probably twist the shaft clean off. I could probably make a small gasket to go under it just to dampen the vibration because that's really the annoying part. Hitting a bump and hearing stuff rattle. Problems of a RK owner.....

All joking aside, I think even blue Loc-Tite would aid in the screw posts twisting off. I've always been VERY careful with them. Chuck probably knows what I'm talking about.

I put a lithium battery in my one sled. That sucker had a ton of cranking power. It would spin that starter fast. Downside, in the cold you have to "excite" it to make it work. Ended up putting a separate hand warmer on the battery on a switch. Flip the switch on, it would "excite" and warm the battery at the same time.

Wouldn't put it on a sled again but any summer toys I would.

Star washer? Is it the nacelle that is vibrating loose or a part behind it?

I have seen that on some folks bikes. They have to hit that start button to wake up the battery then hit it again to crank. Sure makes that engine spin faaaaast
