Most I ever counted in mine (fresh ones, anyway) was two. One of ours took over 220 hits in one LZ and made it out... only a couple miles, but that was out of range and the crew was quite satisfied with that.
We had a C-23 Sherpa in Iraq that sustained 67 hits by small arms. Hit one fuel line and punctured it, flattening a tire, hit both pilot and co-pilpt in the legs and a pax for good measure. Good thing it hit her skid lid or she'd have been dead. Crew chief landed the plane.

Howdy fellers...
Grilled a big ol steak for supper, one for me and one for my son. I ate my steak with a slice of tomato. Made my son mashed taters. None for me since I'm on a diet.
Now I watch in amazement as he opens 2 cans of poodle dicks...
