Same here Russ. Was looking for more of a modern parallel to the original. About 7 episodes in.

Come on to WS 18 and we'll swap sp many stories no one will ever want to leave the ground again.
I put a #30 drill bit through the middle of a thumbnail once, found out the hard way there's a nerve bundle there. Couple guys came over and asked why I was on the floor...

Lot of people probably think something like a new Airbus with fly by wire that supposedly won't let the pilot do something stupid is safest, but I'd take a 40 year old DC9 over a factory fresh Airbus any day. These electronic airliners are incredibly complicated, and they aren't overbuilt like the older Boeing and Douglas planes. Right from the first time I worked on an A320, I never wanted to fly on one, and when I have, I'm real glad to be back on the ground. Just crimping a pin on a wire wrong can (and has) killed an airliner. I've crimped thousands.

Even with aircraft safety wire pliers, you still have to twist the end under, and I've known guys that just didn't bother, and didn't care. When I did safety wiring, you could run your hands over it and it would feel smooth, not that hard to do, either.

Might have helped if she was hot, but hot she was not. I think it was probably just makeup and the hair, she's looked pretty good in other movies.

You can drive to your own babysitter after that!

You probably wouldn't have liked flying with Doc then, he did some pretty crazy things - everyone that flew Hueys over there did at one time or another. I loved it then, might scare the poo outta me now.
