Where do you put your valve stem cap
when checking or airing up your tires?
They are small and easy to misplace or lose. A lot of people don't know that they are also matched to the valve stem by the manufacturer which makes it critical that you don't get them mixed up. If you are constantly having to add air, you have them on the wrong tire.
I find it easier to remove both caps at the same time. In order to not get them mixed up, I always put the front cap in my right nostril and the rear in my left. I also keep a small pair if forceps in my tool kit in case I push a cap to far up my nostrils.
I am of course open to any alternative ideas which is why I decided to post this thread.

Finally a thread that asks a serious question....I get so tired of the "Do you wear gloves or not when you ride...."

I only check one tire at a time but I store the valve caps on my nipples. As I'm checking the pressure from the throttle side I will put the rear cap on my left nipple and front on the right nipple. I've been doing this for years and the only time I mixed them up was when I was in England. Everything is reversed in England. I'm so confused.

A valve stem cap does not keep the air in. I assume that part of your post was meant as a joke.
I put them in my mouth.
