2 Guys tee off. One hits far right, the other far left. They go to where their ball lies. First guy is right in a patch of buttercups. Rules say play it where it lies. He hacks it out and takes out about 3 feet of buttercups. Mother Nature pops up and chastises him for ruining her creation. She says his punishment is he can never have butter again. He yells across the fairway to his buddy, Where is your ball? Guy yells, It is in a stand of pussywillows. First guy yells....DON'T SWING!

No reference to buttercups is complete without one of my favorite golf jokes....
