Mark, I took a shower this morning and water was flowing.


Chuck, power to controller. Power at leads from box. Problem is somewhere between there and the valves which means about 60 feet of buried cable of which about 15 feet is under my driveway. Good thing it has rained for 4 days, I have to drink beer and consider the solution.

Should I use a rubber mallet or steel head hammer, I wanna fix it right the first time, Mark.

I thought your posts seemed somewhat apologetic.

 

Disconnect both side of the wires going out. Twist one side together. Go to the other side with a continuity meter. If rings wires good.
If it does ring, it's something else. If no ring, run a new pair on the ground ad hook up temporary to see if it fixes it.

A doorbell button that made the sprinklers pop up and spray would be an awesome prank

 

Work enough in steel mills, chemical plants etc... and you learn quickly how to find / fix stuff.
