Mornin Lou! Can't sleep?
Doc, this is when working from home is a huge blessing. I don't have to find someone to stay with a sick kid and I don't have to take a day of from work myself.

Yup. Usually wake up around 2 then go back to bed. Not today. Wide awake. Hands sore. Early arthritis. Some mornings feels like they got ran over. Trying to get off of anti-inflammatory pills.

My friends story from Vegas.
"This stupid napkin in the United club lounge just almost made me lose it.
Story time:
I was at the Route 91 music festival last night. We made our way up to the front for Big and Rich and stayed up there for Jake Owen, but before Jason Aldean came on, Kelsey decided we were hungry and should get a snack (an ever reoccurring theme in our relationship). So we left the front of the crowd and ate. That incredibly small action was just one of hundreds that very well may have saved our lives. The most average and unimpressive carne asada burrito may be the difference between me being here to tell this story and not. After we ate, we found Sean and Kalyn and stood near the middle of the crowd, not up near the stage, which gave us a clear path to run when the gunfire broke out. It's the littlest decisions that could change your life.

Benjamin got up at 0230. That's the downside of anyone being sick...the sleep schedule gets all screwed up. He is asleep now but you can't let them Thiele boys be up and moving with no supervision. Uhhh...prolly not the grown ones either.
No fun getting off the meds for anything but the long term outlook becomes "How many, how often for the rest of my life?" Glad I got off the pain pills for my sciatica, although some days I sure could use one. But one leads to another and so on.

Been on Napersen for 15 years. Switched over to Tumeric. It does really well but some days it doesn't. No pain meds.

I was on Percocet for 6 years. It wasn't that the pain was getting worse, my body just slowly got used to it so they would increase the dosage every 6 months. It would take the edge off the pain but not eliminate it. I figured I could just tough it out and save myself the stress of going to a monthly dr visit to get the renewal and not get put on the junkie watch list.

Good for you Mark. I was on Norco for a year after my bike wreck. Glad that when my script was finished that I wasn't sure addicted. Zero issues dropping it. I liked that stuff.

Your friends are indeed lucky. Not their day or time.

Yup Doc. I'm starting to snap, crackle and pop. Lot of my older friends are in much worse shape. Gotta be thankful. Going back to the gym has been good for me.
