Al, in the winter of 1971 I paid fifty bucks for a 1958 Olds 88 Sedan that was almost flawless. White with green pleather interior. Wish I had that sucker now.

Al, when I was a kid I thought $20 a week was big money. That was what our baby sitter was getting paid. And I thought a car was around $80, and figured that I could baby sit for a month when I was old enough and buy my own car

When I was 16,my father came home with a '48 Chevy that actually ran. he bought it from an old guy in town who was going back to Italy. He paid $20 for it. Bought it for me to play with and learn. NO rust at all...guy had painted it with roofing tar!!!
