Terry, there was a local news story here in 2015 about a loophole that allowed a person to get a permit without attending any training, just doing an online test. Sure enough I looked at there is an online source in Virginia. Don't know if that loophole has been closed or not.

I am not an advocate of a person with no training being able to concealed carry! Having sat thru 3 trainings and hearing the questions folks ask and answer, a lot of them should never be allowed to carry! I would like to see a standardized, across the board, adequate training be developed, including some way of weeding out the folks that just don't get it. Thanks for the link Mick!

Only sat through it once but watched and listened to the same types of people. They shouldn't be allowed to operate a half full cup of hot coffee
