Lou, we were always taught to be on the burnt side of a grass fire. That way there no chance to get caught in the unburned side in case it lights up unexpectedly.

Yup. Crazy day. Ran the fire line for almost 2 hours. Hands weren't made for a shovel. Few blisters but we stopped part of the fire.
