Thats why I got a Toyota. Them things run forever! 230,000 miles and not a single issue!
I got a new one in '78. I was in the motor the first year, said * the warranty, I want this thing to work. MORE than doubled the gas mileage, wish I could do that with my current pickup. I liked the tire burning power and acceleration of that little Toyota (after I fixed it, wouldn't pull a headwind in 5th before), but otherwise thought it sucked, suspension wouldn't begin to handle a half ton. Japanese stuff has come a long way since the 70s, though.

Hey Ron, I was up at Lake Champlain on Sunday.
Love that internet. I think I've found a replacement tire for that California sidecar, one on it has no date and the sidewalls are really cracked. Could only find the size with Cooper, all the rest were Chinese. Never going to see me on Chinese rubber. Now to find some wheel bearings...
