TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part X
Ohio has a law, no smoking inside any building. Used to frequent a little biker bar, Main Street Saloon, in downtown Akron. The owner, Big Dee, would erect a wood and canvas structure out back complete with woodburner for the winter months. Poor guy is dead now.............

Same law in Michigan Terry ... I don't smoke ( but I'm still smokin' ) anymore ... Quit about 45 years ago.
Larry, when we were kids.....they didn't have buses...we had to walk to school and no one ever died.
Found a BBQ restaurant in the Atlanta airport that you can smoke in. Walked in that place and it was almost overwhelming. Almost forgot what it was like in bars and restaurants back in the day.

At least they never found the bodies Al
Come home after a long night at the bar smelling like you just put out a house fire
Exactly, couldn't hide it, OL would say, "Stopped at the bar huh?"
Field trip pictures were always cool, Al.

Our normal January temps are in the 30's for lows and 50's for the highs. Although temps in the single digits aren't terribly unusual, we haven't had this kind of low temp stretch in many many years. Two years ago I went on a toy run the 2nd week of December and it was 70 degrees. NC is notorious for having 30 swings in temp over the course of 24 hours. And yes, it's beautiful country.
