TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part X
On The 9th of December I saw an amazing football game.
1) The player's hair fit under their helmets.
2) No tattoos could be seen.
3) There were no outlandish end zone celebrations.
4) There was no taunting.
5) Opposition players helped each other up after a play.
6) Footballs were not spiked or left for the referee to retrieve; they were handed to the referee.
7) No one took a knee on the sidelines.
9) Players stood at attention during the playing of the national anthem.
It's great to watch an Army/Navy game.

I guess this comes with the territory. I built my house in 2000 and have had very few problems with it over the years. But now like Me it’s getting older and is beginning to require a little maintenance ( make that a lot) of maintenance!
Own a house built in the 40's. That will give you lots of experience!

No ride today, big disappointment, the Ural battery wouldn't turn it over. Hopefully after a day on the smart charger it will spin nicely tomorrow.
Years past, twice I've woke up on a Sunday morning to a cold house, once a bit below zero, once 10 below. Couldn't get anyone out either day, so it was screwdrivers, multimeter and soldering iron. The 10 below was a busted wire on the valve solenoid, soldered a bigger piece for a jumper and it worked a few years till I replaced the furnace. Second was a burned out fan motor, got real lucky, Northern Tool was open Sunday morning and had a generic you could wire for different speeds, fit right in. I probably saved near $1000 between the two, places I called said probably 500+ both times if I wanted to wait a couple days. Not when it was that cold!
Read about California holding off on approving that new 747-400 fire plane, holds 19,000 gallons, supposedly can lay a strip of retardant 1 1/2 miles long. Have you seen anything about them finally using it? It got used in Israel and some other country, supposed to be awesome. $250,000 an hour. Cheap, if it saved a few million buck homes.
