Hey Mick, Russ and internet gang.....
Prospective employer # 1 advises that he will have a verbal offer for me yet this week.
To me, the verbal format suggests room for negotiation. Thoughts?

Start ridiculously higher and let him work you down to , "I can't believe I'm paying this guy this much."

Russ, the 22T is the corvette of small aircraft. I paid a fortune to pick out the seats, even the stitching on the seats is to my specification. Walked in to Cirrus factory with 300k in a briefcase and a secured bank check for the remainder.

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice plane but I hate the O2 system and I want a bigger payload capability. The TBM ain't breaking a sweat fully loaded. Then again, a nice used one is about $2.5M not including the hanger I'd need to keep it safe in.

I split my payment 3 ways and took on guys who wanted a Cirrus but couldn't afford one on their own. I'm sorry I did that now.
Monthly payments with $600k down is more than I'm willing to fork out for a personal aircraft. The Cirrus has full Garmin glass which is top notch.. It's been so long since I flew with instruments i dunno if I could put one down in the fog without the Garmin and I'm IFR.

The glass is a demon and will strip you of your skills. It's like going from a flip phone to a Note 8

My younger brother fly's a G6 and is the personal pilot for one of Africa's wealthiest men. Ranked 3rd on Forbes richest men in Africa a few years back.
he's been to every country in the world except NK.

I still wouldn't do his job even though he makes bank. He's gone 6 months out of the year living in Nigeria. It sucks with young kids at home
