TOAK, The Thread of All Knowledge Part X
Sorry I wasn’t more help, lectriculs is my weak point. I know what your asking about has been discussed many times.
I'm an electrician by trade, which means I can screw a bike up faster than your average man. You want flames - come to me.
Me too
When you coming to Colorado? Serious lack of flames from my bike.

Post from softail forum.
The wife has heated gear (vest & grips), the heated vest auxiliary port is wired directly to the battery the grips are too but on a ignition switch terminal and she also has a boom audio system directly wired to the battery.
For Christmas she mentioned a heated seat... Corbin makes a heated seat and i was thinking we could just drive to Corbin plant near Monterey, have a custom made seat while we wait (they do that for customers who show up at plant) but I'm worried the electrical system can't keep up if she has everything operating at one time.
If this was a new RG or SG with updated charging system I wouldn't ask but what is the limit and or how do I figure out what that limit is?
Thanks in advance.
I've found that HD offers a hi-output alternator but not for her year of bike which make me think she might already have the hi-output charging system the touring bikes do but I highly doubt it. It's a 2017 Softail Slim-S (110").
Seems to me the bike is more for hauling *** than doing much of anything more. I was going to buy her a new RG a couple months ago but after she put 200 miles on mine she said she didn't like it, bike was too big and it was riding her not vice versa.
her bike is light, fast and throaty. The new M8's are just not the same thump of a TC 110"
